WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF AVIATION
Teaching its students to be exceptional, professional aviators.

A leading school for students in search of a well-rounded education, Western Michigan University (WMU) in Kalamazoo, Michigan, boasts a lively campus life with nearly 25,000 students, 275 registered student organizations, a host of NCAA Division IA intercollegiate athletic teams and eight distinct colleges with 140 undergraduate programs. Its College of Aviation has approximately 600 students and three undergraduate degrees, all of which are accredited by AABI: Aviation Science and Administration, Aviation Maintenance Technology and Aviation Flight Science.

____________

DENTON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
Strengthening North Texas’s aviation presence.

Quentin Hix wouldn’t change his recently acquired job for anything—and it has nothing to do with the economy’s job-lost situation either. He’s gone from managing a city, Copper Canyon in Denton County, where he led administration of all the city services and operating departments, to managing the rapidly expanding Denton Municipal Airport (DTO) in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, Metroplex. And in this new position, Hix gladly boasts that he works alongside a motivated team that’s eager to attract an even larger aviation community to its area.
